CAMPUS LIGHTING
A well-lit campus is a safer campus. This belief has led Campus Safety Services, in partnership with Temple University Facilities Management, to use lighting on campus to deter night crime.
Temple’s six campuses have more than one thousand lights mounted on building rooftops. The 1000-watt metal halide bulbs create a bright white illumination that mimics daylight at ground level. The high visibility and comfort this provides has inspired a new interpretation of the University’s slogan, “The sun never sets at Temple.”
